It's been a little while since I put together a mix.

Once again, no real theme, just a quick recap of some of the records I acquired since the beginning of 2026. Mostly from Discogs with a few local finds thrown in.

Musically I stuck to a similar range as usual - late '50s to mid-'60s. Mostly from 45s.

Of course there were a bunch of records that didn't really fit the overall vibe, such as it is, so they'll need to wait till another time to find their way into a mix (Kind of hard to find a spot for a minimal synth track or buzz flute version of a Bill Withers tune amongst this lot).

Things kick off with the fabulous 'Worm' by Bill Doggett, and stay pretty sleazy and greasy until we get to one of the greatest tunes of all time - the soulful teenager, Darrow Fletcher's 'The Pain Gets A Little Deeper'. I was chuffed to finally get a nice copy of that.

We stay in the mid-60s for most of the rest of the mix with a couple of tough UK R&B classics; Question Mark sneaking in some naughty words over fuzz guitar; Andre Williams being Andre Williams; and finally a couple of fun ones to finish things off.
